Flash 10 3d demo for Adobe

3d Wildlife Gallery

Backflip has been been on the Flash pre-release programme for some time. We were flattered when Adobe asked us if they could use our demo application to show off the native 3d capabilities of Flash Player 10 in their marketing campaign which launched on 15th October 2008.

Flash 10 introduces the Z-axis to the stage. This allows the creation of interfaces that move around in 3d space without having to use 3rd party libraries like Papervision 3d or Away 3d. While the native 3d support is not meant as a replacement for these libraries it opens up all kinds on possibilities in terms of interface design.

This demo application uses Tweener to show off these new build it features.
